Blind Ants

“Igor Legarreta crafts an edgy and unsettling drama with the feel of a horror story, brought to life through striking direction."

“Legarreta seduces the viewer with a powerful mise-en-scène, especially in an opening in which the rain and then the fog give the characters no respite, imbuing every image with a kind of telluric magnetism.”

“As disarming and menacing as those storm-battered landscapes." "A superb cinematography.”

"The film's atmosphere captures you, its abrupt cadence, the family silences, the suspicions, the latent violence."

"The atmosphere is very well achieved, and the contrast between the beauty of the images and the brutality of events ends up becoming one of the film's main defining features."

"A film shot with beautiful colours, textures and light-shadow contrasts, offering the opportunity to enjoy the nuances that darkness draws."

"We all carry within us an invisible and unknown force that helps us move forward in difficult times, igniting our survival instinct. That is the most beautiful and universal message the film leaves us with."
