Playtime is a Paris-based international sales, production and equity investment company active since 1997 and committed to co-finance, market and distribute high profile works by renowned filmmakers.

Playtime is known for the quality of its artistic choices and dedication to innovative content. Our approach reflects the wish of audiences, as well as elevating visionary creative voices. Recent successes include ABOUT DRY GRASSES (Best Actress, Cannes 2023), BY THE GRACE OF GOD (Silver Bear, Berlin 2019), 120 BPM (Grand Prix, Cannes 2017), SON OF SAUL (2016 Oscar Winner).

As a director-driven entity we pride ourselves in partnering with talents such as François Ozon, Jacques Audiard, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Céline Sciamma, Robin Campillo, Naomi Kawase, Rithy Panh, László Nemes, Raoul Peck, Olivier Assayas, Leos Carax among many others. Similarly, we have always kept a cinephile spirit to our activity and take great pride and care of our classic library which constitutes nearly half of our 800 titles.

In addition to its Paris office, the Playtime Group includes three international highly specialized sales/financing companies: Films Boutique in Berlin, Be For Films in Brussels and Film Constellation in London. Since July 2023, the Playtime Group is part of the European studio Vuelta.

The Playtime Group is also an active producer, under the Playtime Production banner, (GOODNIGHT MOMMY - Matt Sobel, 2022, GUEST OF HONOUR - Atom Egoyan, 2019, SUNSET - László Nemes, 2018), as well as under independent labels such as Parallel 45, Elementary, 27Tribe and Constellation Production.
