Blind Ants

Synopsis

Basque coastline, 1935. A fierce storm runs an English ship aground, leaving tons of coal stranded along the coast. As night falls, the people of the nearby village crowd the coastline to collect the black gold. For Sabas, it’s a stroke of luck; for his wife Josefa, a dire omen. Deaf to her warnings, Sabas pulls his children into the heart of the storm. The family will do the unthinkable to collect and protect the coal that could carry them through the winter… or seal their fate forever.
