Yaelle Kayam




Yaelle Kayam was born in 1979. She is a filmmaker and a film lecturer at the Sapir college film department. Yaelle Kayam studied cinema at the Victorian College of the Arts (2004-2006) in Melbourne, Australia and at the Sam Spiegel film and Television school in Jerusalem (2006-2008). Her graduate film "Diploma" (22 min) won third place at the Cinefondation at the Cannes Film Festival 2009. "Diploma" was screened in over 70 festivals worldwide, won 14 international awards, was purchased for screening by Canal+, and screened at Moma: Museum of Modern Art in NYC. Her feature script "Samaria" (in development) has received the following development scholarships: Cinefondation - the Cannes Film Festival writing résidence, Berlin 24\7 Scholarship and Sundance Script Lab. "Mountain" is Yaelle Kayam’s debut feature film.
