1998 France - Drama

Two decisive nights in the lives of two young miners in Lorraine. Marek, the pole and Mimmo, the italian, have been miners here on the German border, in the heart of the Lorraine coal field, since they were 16. Their routine scarcely changes. After work in the pit, the time-honored pastimes : drinking beer with other miners, hanging out in strip clubs, racing in their cars... In December 1995, they are both 25. A lightning strike is called. Marek wants to join it and stands by his uncle Stanis, a staunch union man. Mimmo?s imagination follows the beat of a different drum. His role model is J?ger, a shadowy but engaging crook. As the stikes grows, so does the tension between Marek and Mimmo... A story of friendship where loyalty can often be costly and uncertain.
